All Onyx Fire Fighters are Pro-board or IFSAC Certified. There are several areas of studies for Fire Fighters which include:
Not all Onyx Fire Fighters are trained to all these NFPA standards, Onyx works hard to determine client needs and match qualified personnel to meet the client’s needs and expectations.
Onyx offers in-house training as required, our instructor has an extensive back ground in Education, Municipal Fire Services and Industrial Fire Services.
All Onyx Rescue Technicians are trained to NFPA standards and provide the client with confidence when dealing with High Angle and/or confined space rescue. Onyx’s rescue experts can help determine needs and help develop (and catalog) ERPs for the client’s multiple vessels and tanks. Onyx uses the most up to date equipment that is recorded and maintained to meet Onyx’s high standards, this ensure all equipment is functioning when needed.
Some of Onyx’s Fire Fighters and Rescue Technician are also medically trained, this works well to stabilize patients in areas the Paramedics cannot access. This also works well when the client is looking to reduce costs and maintain high level of care on-site.
Occupational Health Nurses (OHN) and Registered Nurses (RN) in the clinic setting complimenting the emergency response teams. Nurses have the ability to run preventative programs to help companies reduce costs, lost time and sick days. They run health awareness programs that benefit employees and help them get on the “right track” with their health, as well they can provide on-site health assessments for corporate employees. Nurses also provide disability management; a proper disability management program has proven to save employees 1-5% of their annual payroll costs by simply working with the employee to get them back to work healthy quicker than those who do not have a proper disability management program.
Nurses are also valuable to small companies that have high rates of injury and illnesses both in and outside the Oil and Gas sector. Please contact us if you need help with a disability management program, annual testing or any type of health education for your staff.
