On-Site Clinic Services are a proven asset to companies performing work in remote areas. ONYX’s main goals are to keep client’s employees working, reduce lost time incidents, promote health initiatives through education and reduce costs to the stakeholders.

ONYX can help the client determine their needs when setting up a clinic in a remote area and provide direction to reduce costs on such things as staffing, equipment and consumables.

ONYX offers Occupational Health Nurses, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics & Primary Care Paramedics for services in our clinics. Although we offer several levels of medical providers, the above mentioned are the most common in the clinic setting. We have found great success when multi-discipline health care providers work in these settings.

Businesses and organizations need to protect themselves and ensure that their employees are safe and fit for work. One example of this is OH&S’s requirement for testing upon employment and annual testing for hearing conservation. By following OH&S guidelines, regular testing allows for baseline recording and monitoring of the individual throughout their employment, making it easy to note variances to an employee’s health.

ONYX boasts a large fleet of MTC’s for on-site locations that do not require a clinic setting. We have the transport exemption permit issued by Safety & Compliance Services Branch, Alberta Transportation, which allows our practitioners to transport patients on major highways.

Our MTCs are staffed by qualified personnel who work to their full scope of practice and are regularly audited by management to ensure they maintain ONYX's high standards while representing our business and our clients. Staff receive in-house training to ensure they maintain their skills.

ONYX can assist clients with On-Site Safety and Corporate Safety Personnel.

On-Site Safety includes:

• Fire Watch

• Confined Space Watch

• Bottle Watch

• On-Site Safety Personnel (all levels)

ONYX provides personnel for smaller jobs and our focus is to provide qualified personnel for sites that require 2-3 people daily. This allows the client’s safety personnel to perform their work and feel confident that the staff have competent support in a confined space or hot work situation.

ONYX can also provide Safety Personnel to assist sites with special projects. The level of training we offer ranges from Safety Administrators to NCSOs & CRSPs.

Corporate Safety Personnel are a great fit for the smaller companies that cannot justify a full time Safety Advisor or for larger companies who need assistance with Program Development or Policy Review.
